Introducing the first-ever Kosher certified Greek vinegar!
Mediterranean Brands P.C. (www.medbrands.gr) in collaboration with Greek Exports company and the Balkan Kosher & V-label certification bodies, recently proceeded with the Kosher (Parve & for Passover) and Vegan certification of a red grape vinegar produced in the area of Nemea in the Peloponnese, southern Greece.
It is a unique & healthy product of exceptional quality, produced exclusively from organically grown grapes of the indigenous to Greece Agiorgitiko varietal without any added sulfites, preservatives, colorings or other additives. A completely natural acidification process is followed in certified facilities located near the vineyards in the region of Nemea, to avoid grape quality deterioration following their harvest. The result is a red vinegar with an amazing color, wonderful aroma and unique taste!
In addition to the Organic, Kosher & Vegan certifications this particular vinegar also bears the "Loi Approved" badge on its label, since after extensive sensory & qualitative tests it was approved by well-known Chef Maria Loi who runs Loi Estiatorio in New York and at the same time distributes in US market high quality Greek products both under her own brand, as well as brands of other Greek companies.
The Kosher certification process for vinegar was done for the first time in Greece, as due to the continuous flow of liquids it presented particular difficulties and requirements according to Kosher standards.
Changes in preparation & production procedures were required with a significant investment in time and cost, while a key tool for the successful completion of the certification process was the use of a solenoid valve (a patent of Greek Exports company), which operates remotely via internet & Wi-Fi thus allowing complete sampling control by the Rabbi.
This limited edition product is standardized and distributed exclusively under the GOURMANTE brand by Mediterranean Brands P.C. in numbered bottles that ensure 100% traceability.
